Dear Parents and Carers

It’s amazing that we are starting the last term of the year! We have really enjoyed teaching your children and we will miss them very much when they move up to Year 2!

We will be looking at the topic of gardens this term.   We have decided to take the children to Swiss Gardens near Biggleswade so that they can see a beautiful garden and take part in some activities. This is a great opportunity for the children to experience activities relevant to science, geography and English.

The trip will be on Wednesday 9thJune. The bus will leave at 9.00 prompt and we will be back to school by 3.00pm. The children will need to dress in school uniform and wear trainers or school shoes but no sandals please. Please send coats and wellies if the weather is bad.

We will eat at Swiss Garden.  All children will be provided with a packed lunch.  Please indicate sandwich preferences below.

The cost of the trip will be £5 per child.  Please give the money and permission slip to the school office in a named envelope or the SCOPE online payment system. School will pay for the coach.

We will need some adults in order for the trip to go ahead. If you would like to come please tell your child’s teacher. We will pick the names out of a hat if we get too many volunteers.

The Year One Team.
