Fun 4 Young People have some exciting new opportunities for Young People in Bedford. They have announced their new after school clubs for the Autumn term starting over the next couple of weeks at various locations. Their clubs provide a safe space for children to try and practise their skills with extra pastoral staff present at every club to support all Young People. They have a Covid policy in place to protect Young People, parents and staff members.  They offer many bursary places on their courses to break down the possible barriers families may face. Their bursary criteria can be found on their website. www.ymcabedfordshire.org/f4yp

TREASURE BOX CLUB - Upper site

By invitation

The Treasure Boxes club in this illustration had the theme "1950-60's toys". The children firstly decorated small cardboard containers with newspaper and glue and added their choice of decoration. From super-action figures to model cars, Lego models to football logos and even copies of old Beano comics, each decoration was unique to its owner.

During the sessions we looked at old-style toys like marble games, wind-up cars, yo-yos, pick-up-sticks and collecting cards. The children tried out some toys which had been loaned to us.

Once the boxes had been lacquered and dried, children were given a selection of toys to put in their boxes to take home. They wrote a short piece about their time at Treasure Boxes and gave a presentation to their classes and showed off the toys they were taking home.
