SEND Ethos Statement

'May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.' Romans 15:1-7

Every child is included in our school family. We do this by developing and educating, through Catholic values, all those who join our school community. We get to know each individual child, making sure their education is personalised to their needs. We want all children to become confident and highly valued members of our society and our approach enables them to achieve their full potential.

SEND Code of Practice 2015

This document identifies four areas of need:

  • Communication and Interaction

  • Cognition and Learning

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health

  • Sensory and / or Physical Needs

The Code of Practice provides statutory guidance relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

From Early Years through to Year 6, we use the 'Assess, Plan, Do, Review' cycle to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and improve practice through individualised outcome pathways. This includes high quality teaching and provision to meet the needs of the child.

Home learning

Please find website links and ideas for your child's home learning. Please regularly check the website. New resources and ideas will be added.

Hi all,

I am emailing you all with an update regarding the attached Easter Holiday activities. The SEND family activities are now fully booked up but I am delighted to announce that the online activities are now available to book; We have a range of exciting online programmes on offer including cook-a-long sessions with a private chef (ingredient vouchers provided), bitesize boxing, street dance, drama and arts and crafts. We have also teamed up with Conductive Music to provide 100 FREE places on their highly regarding Music Video game creation course (voucher code attached). Please do share this far and wide so that as many children and young people can access and benefit from these great online sessions (available to all but priority will be given to those on Free School Meals), in particular with any young people you know would love to design and create their own video game.

Our Active holiday club is FREE to all children aged 5-12 on Free School Meals, so far we are only at 50% capacity  we want to make sure we support as many children as possible.

You can view the full range of activities on offer here:

Many thanks as always for all your support with this
